On Wednesday, farmers intensified their protest with their numbers swelling with the participation of elderly and women GREATER NOIDA: Tension is simmering in Greater Noida where hundreds of farmers have been protesting against the development authority. On Wednesday farmers intensified their protest with their numbers swelling with the participation of elderly and women. January onward, 20 farmers from five villages ho have to give up more than 80 hectare land for development of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), have been sitting outside the compound of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) in Knowledge Park 4. Having given a call to mobilise more support, the farmers managed to garner support from the oppositions party leaders with Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party as well as Aam Aadmi Party leader joining the protest.
