New Delhi [India], February 1 (ANI): Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal chaired the 16th meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Monday to review the COVID-19 situation and ongoing vaccination roll-out in the state. While appreciating the efforts put in by all for the effective management of COVID 19 in Delhi, advised all to continue to exercise abundant caution to contain any possibility of a resurgence of the infection, Baijal said in a tweet.
He also stressed on the need for strict enforcement of COVID compliant behaviour besides sustaining current levels of RTPCR (Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction) testing, contact tracing and quarantine.

New Delhi [India], January 28 (ANI): Delhi Lieutenant GovernorAnil Baijal on Thursday visited Sushruta Trauma Centre to meet police personnel who were injured in the violence during the farmers tractor rally on January 26.
Protestors broke barricades to enter Delhi and indulged in vandalism across several parts of the national capital during their tractor rally organised to protest against the Centre s three new farm laws on Tuesday.
Several public and private properties were damaged in acts of vandalism by the protestors, leaving many police personnel injured.

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra today protested outside Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal s official residence today, in solidarity with those farmers who have been protesting against the central government s recently introduced agricultural laws.
The protest by Congress, which has backed the farmers all this while, is part of its Speak Up For Kisan Adhikar campaign. The Congress is observing Kisan Adhikar Divas (Farmer Rights Day) today and all state units have been asked to congregate around all Raj Bhavans in the states. BJP goverment will have to withdraw the farm laws. The Congress will not relent till these laws are repealed. These laws are not to help farmers, but to finish them, Mr Gandhi said leading the protest outside Raj Niwas.
Baijal directs govt. agencies to maintain strict vigil at transit points
Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal chaired a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) at Raj Niwas to review the status of the pandemic in the Capital.
At the 15th meeting of the DDMA, the L-G directed government agencies to maintain strict vigil at transit points across Delhi in addition to enforcing the adherence to COVID appropriate behaviour to contain virus spread.
He also issued directions to ensure current levels of testing, surveillance and contact-tracing of COVID-19 patients in the city even as the positivity rate in Delhi stands at 0.88%, the death rate over the last ten days at 3.13% and the case fatality rate at 1.69% as per Delhi government figures till Tuesday.
