OnePlus is one of the smartphone manufacturers whose devices have joined the Android 12 beta testing program. It was decided to run the firmware on the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. But in less than a day, the manufacturer had to withdraw the update due to serious problems.
On its official forum, the company said it was forced to remove Android 12 download links for the OnePlus 9 series due to negative user reviews. They complained that after installing the update; their smartphones turned into bricks and in some cases even a forced reboot did not bring them back to life.
Also, according to Android Police, the problem was caused by the users themselves, who simply forgot to unlock the bootloader. Enthusiasts have already found a solution to the problem by offering a tool that uses Qualcomm’s chipset emergency boot mode to unlock the device.
Android 12 beta is here, and several brands are jumping on the bandwagon to provide the update to their flagship devices. TCL is one of them.
