Google Chrome might be the world s biggest web browser, but it s been known to slow down both Mac and Windows computers, especially affecting a system s battery and processors, with some reporting that the browser affects them even when it s not on. Chrome is Bad
Chrome has millions of active users, but the cause has been unclear for many.
That is until one frustrated Chrome user on Mac found out in his research that the reason behind the Mac slowing down is due to the Chrome Keystone, an auto-update mechanism put in place by the company.
To explain the issue further, Loren Brichter, a software developer, created the website known as Chrome is Bad, which also includes a detailed solution for the problem.

Google has recently brought improvements to its current dark mode for Chrome browsers. It is now expected to be able to roll out for both Windows 10 and the macOS soon. However, before the official roll-out, it now looks like the company has a few other plans up on its sleeves. Google is reportedly testing the brand new dark mode feature specifically for its desktop browser that displays the search result.
Is there a dark mode for Google Desktop?
According to the report made by 9to5Google, the official California-headquartered company is now testing a certain dark theme for its current desktop search. According to the images shown, it reveals that the white background has now been replaced with the dark grey hue. Moreover, the official Google logo is located somewhere at the top left corner of the shown search results. This is generally more colorful and is now replaced with a new white-colored logo.
