THE chief executive of a Clydebank-based charity aiming to raise awareness of testicular cancer is calling on men to talk about their health “openly and candidly”. The Post is joining forces with Ritchie Marshall, the founder of Cahonas, during Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, which runs throughout April, to encourage men to make regular self-checking part of their routine. Cahonas works to educate men in Scotland on the signs and symptoms of testicular cancer, and promotes earlier detection through regular self-checking. The Cahonas campaign already has the support of West Dunbartonshire Council, where officials have agreed to illuminate the authority’s headquarters in Dumbarton in blue – the signature colour of Cahonas – from April 1-14 in support of the charity’s efforts.
