District 8 Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins wants the commission to approve the creation of a 13-member task force to study the feasibility of allowing residents to pay taxes in bitcoin. Miami Mayor Francis Suarez also agrees-he wants the city to hold bitcoin in its treasury and allow tax payments in cryptocurrency as well.
