3 men arrested after gunfire from target practice hits cars on I-90

MADISON, Wis. Three men were arrested Saturday afternoon after a car was hit by gunfire.
According to an incident report, Bryan R. Spangler, 44, of Cottage Grove; Jon D. Zimmerman, 50, of Oak Creek; and Jeffrey Zimmerman, 48, of Wabasha, were all arrested on suspicion of second-degree recklessly endangering safety. All three men were booked into the Dane County Jail.
The report said Wisconsin State Patrol responded at 2:15 p.m. to a report from a caller who believed the windows to his car had been “shot” out.
Police said the caller was driving on I-90 near mile marker 146 when windows to his vehicle shattered. As authorities responded, two more callers reported damage to their vehicles.

The agency announced its involvement in a press release Wednesday.
McFarland police were chasing a car in the moments before it drove into a local house, according to the release.
Five people were in the car at the time of the crash, authorities said. The driver, a 19-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene according to a family friend and investigators.
A McFarland police officer tried to pull over a speeding vehicle on southbound U.S. Highway 51 Tuesday night.
The vehicle did not pull over and the officer ended the pursuit, authorities said.

MADISON, Wis. The Boys & Girls Club of Dane County is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who safely returns a missing 15-year-old girl who went missing late last week.
Tiah J. Meigs was last seen leaving Wisconsin Heights High School on Thursday. Dane County law enforcement officials said Meigs got in a car with a person she knew.
Michael Johnson, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, said in a tweet that the organization will offer the $5,000 reward to anyone who returns Meigs home safely within 72 hours.

MADISON (WKOW) The Dane County Sheriff s Office is asking for information about a teenager who was last seen Thursday, March 11.
Officers say 15-year-old Tiah Meigs was last seen leaving Wisconsin Heights High School. She was getting into a vehicle with someone she knew around 3:15 p.m.
Detectives say they ve learned Meigs was also in Madison later in the day.
Meigs family is concerned for her welfare and attempts to locate her have been unsuccessful.
Anyone who has seen the teenager is asked to call the Dane County Communications Center at 608-255-2345. If anyone has information or has had recent contact with Meigs, you should call the Dane County Tipline at 608-284-6900.
