The Dane County Sheriffâs Office is investigating after two bodies were found Monday in a home in the town of Sun Prairie, authorities said.
The deaths were reported at 3:22 p.m. Monday in the 4600 block of Pierceville Road, Sheriffâs Office spokesperson Elise Schaffer said Monday. Officers were still on the scene Monday night.
Deputies and police officers entered the home and found the two bodies. The Dane County Sheriffâs Office did not release information on the identities of the individuals, how they died or how authorities were notified about them.
âWe canât say anything more at this point,â Schaffer said.

According to Sgt. John Matz of the Dane County Sheriffâs Office, at 3:22 p.m., Dane County deputies were dispatched to an address in the 4600 block of Pierceville Road in the Town of Sun Prairie for a death investigation.
Matz said deputies, along with personnel from the Wisconsin State Patrol and Cottage Grove Police Department responded, entered the home, and located two deceased individuals.
The Dane County Sheriffâs Office is continuing to investigate this incident and does not believe there to be any danger to the public. The Dane County Medical Examinerâs Office will release the names of the deceased individuals, pending notification of family.
Sun Prairie Utilities will be able to purchase land for its new SPU facilities on Linnerud Drive and complete water and electrical line replacements in 2021, thanks to action taken Dec. 15 by the Sun Prairie City Council.
The council not only approved a resolution providing for the sale of approximately $6.77 million in Water and Light Utility Revenue Bonds, but also a $500,000 loan from Sun Prairie-based WPPI Energy to undertake water and electrical replacement projects in 2021.
The no interest loan from WPPI Energy was approved Nov. 23. Although the loan is interest-free, a one-time origination fee of $5,000, or 1% of the loan amount, will be repaid by SPU as part of the agreement. A schedule of payments shows SPU will pay back the loan in monthly installments of $4,166.67.
Man injured in Verona crash dies of injuries, officials say

VERONA, Wis. A Barneveld man who suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash on Highway 18 last week has died.
The Verona Police Department confirmed Monday morning that the 45-year-old man died from his injuries Thursday.
According to a news release, police responded to a single-car crash around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday at Highway 18 and County Trunk Highway PB in Verona. The man was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash. The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to confirm the driver’s identity.

VERONA (WKOW) The driver involved in a Dec. 15 one-car crash along U.S. Highway 18 and County Highway PD last week has died, police said today.
The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office is working on confirming the identity of the driver and making appropriate notifications.
The driver, from Barneveld, was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and died from his injuries on Thursday, Dec. 17, according to a news release.
The SUV crashed about 6:20 p.m. on Dec. 15 on County Highway PB.
Prior to crashing, witnesses told police the SUV had been traveling west on U.S. Highway 18, crossed the median into the eastbound lanes of 18 briefly, then returned back into the median before going airborne and landing on PB.
