Reader Letters Sally Rose and Cllr Ray Jack, deputy mayor of March - Credit: DAVID PYE Can t sing choir On Wednesday June 2, March Can’t Sing Choir met in the Trinity Church Memorial Rose Garden, with Sally Rose conducting, and Paul Hayward providing the music. We sang, socially distanced, in two groups of twelve, at a one-hour interval, with Cllr Ray Jack enjoying his invitation to attend. Our thanks to him for finding the time in his busy diary. The choir has not sung together for ten months, due to Covid-19 lockdown, but all were enthusiastic at our outdoor restart, if a little rusty in the voices.

International Year of Glass 2022 set for UN approval Published 12th May, 2021 by Greg Morris An International Year of Glass 2022 is set for United Nations approval. The United Nations is set to approve a proposed International Year of Glass 2022 next week. The proposal has passed a process of silence that is imposed by the UN before any resolution, which means that the proposal will definitely be approved at the next United Nations General Assembly on May 17 and 18. Prof Alicia Duran, President of the IYOG2022 steering committee for the year of glass said that with the support and tireless work of more than 1500 organisations and institutions from 78 countries, it had achieved its objective.

Erik Stolterman May 1, 2021 | 22 min read Erik Stolterman is Professor of Informatics at Indiana University Bloomington, as well as a professor at the Institute of Design at Umeå University, Sweden, where he originates. A prolific scholar of design theory and philosophy, he has co-authored 5 books and more than 150 academic publications with a focus on the design of digital and interactive systems.
