KIND-HEARTED students have been delivering gifts to the elderly who might be isolating or lonely this Christmas. The year 11 pupils of Royal Wootton Bassett Academy delivered boxes of chocolates to residents in a Covid-secure way, knocking doors and leaving the presents on doorsteps before moving away. Each student wore masks and sanitised their hands before and after each delivery. David Storey, teacher of Geography and head of year 11, said: “It has been such a fantastic opportunity to safely connect with members of the community who may have felt very isolated over the last few months. It is so nice for them to know we haven’t forgotten about them, and the students were really touched by the reactions of those they visited.
