Meredosia won t mandate vaccine for employees

Meredosia’s village board has agreed to pay for any village employee who wants a COVID-19 vaccination to get it, but decided not to make the vaccine mandatory for village employees.
In other business, the board agreed to buy two sewer pumps, one of which will be kept as a spare to replace broken pumps while they are being repaired.

Global Technical Systems will replace an emergency siren on Pearl Street and work on another siren.
The village is preparing to work on repairing streets, including raising Pearl Street. The cost of the repair project is an estimated $76,000.
