David Bowie in the lead role, will be released on Blu-ray for the first time on June 29. The newly remastered movie also will be made available on DVD and digitally on the same day.
The film, which also featured legendary German actress
Marlene Dietrich in her final movie role, tells the story of a disillusioned young Prussian gentleman who, after being wounded in World War I, eventually becomes a gigolo in the service of a baroness portrayed by Dietrich.
Just a Gigolo was directed by late British actor
David Hemmings, and also featured appearances by

The common conception of British cinema in the 1970s is that it was in terminal decline. Deprived of investment in the face of dwindling box-office returns, producers resorted to peddling period horrors, softcore romps and sitcom spin-offs to stay afloat. Yet, the decade also witnessed a mini thriller boom that exploited the BBFC’s relaxation of censorship to bring a new psychological authenticity and depth to such suspense-filled stories as David Greene’s I Start Counting (1970).

Privately owned producer Neptune Energy is looking to create a gold standard for emissions monitoring that could one day serve as a guide for the industry at large, the company tells NGW.
Neptune, which operates in Europe, North Africa and the Asia-Pacific region, teamed up with the US Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) last month to test a new approach for measuring methane emissions from offshore facilities. EDF will co-ordinate a team of international researchers including Scientific Aviation, which provides airborne emissions sensing, and Texo DSI, a UK-based drone platform provider, to evaluate advanced methods for quantifying facility-level offsho.
