A Thomasville man was arrested for allegedly holding a woman and a child at knifepoint on Monday night before fleeing from the police.
Derrick Anthony Pratt, Jr., 26, of Blair Street in Thomasville, was charged with felony first-degree kidnapping, felony first-degree burglary, misdemeanor stalking, misdemeanor communicating threats, and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.

According to information on the arrest warrant provided by the Davidson County Magistrate’s Office, Pratt allegedly broke into the residence on Travis Lane in Lexington and held a woman and her four-year-old child at knifepoint against their will.

Mt. Airy teen arrested for second-degree rape and robbery
A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with second-degree rape and robbery.
Charles Matthew Riddle of 28 Maple Drive, Mt. Airy, was charged with second-degree forcible rape and felony common law robbery.

According to information on the arrest warrant provided by the Davidson County Magistrate’s Office, Riddle allegedly forcedly committed sexual acts against a woman without her consent. He also stole $1,200 in currency from the victim, according to law enforcement.
Riddle was given a $100,000 secured bond and an initial court date of April 30.
