(WFIE) - The Green River District Health Department held a vaccine clinic for inmates at the Daviess County Detention Center. We’re told that 10 percent of the inmates received the Moderna vaccine. With COVID-19 case numbers down in the county, officials say they’re hoping things continue moving in the direction of getting back to normal. “There’s new intakes every day coming into the jail, and everybody could be a potential carrier,” said jailer Art Maglinger. “There was just a lot of unknowns so it was challenging just to navigate through the first couple months.”

Man charged with three-counts of murder in relation to March fatal crash in McLean Co

Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio Apr 9, 2021 4:02 PM A Calhoun man who was involved in a fatal crash that killed three people in McLean County, including a local man, was charged with three counts of murder in relation to the incident. According to a news release from Kentucky State Police, 24-year old Dylan Howard of Calhoun is facing three counts of murder, first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal child abuse, DUI, trafficking in a controlled substance and numerous traffic violations.  He is lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center. As previously reported, investigation into the multi-vehicle collision that occurred in March on KY 81 about four miles north of Calhoun determined that the vehicle driven by Howard was the one heading northbound when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic.

(WFIE) - Kentucky State Police arrested a Muhlenberg County man Monday after a three-county chase. It happened just after 3:20 p.m. KSP says an officer saw a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck pulling a small trailer commit a traffic violation. When the officer tried to stop the vehicle, KSP says 33-year-old Andrew Toll, of Breman, failed to stop. We are told Toll stopped for a brief moment refusing to exit the vehicle before continuing to flee.

(WFIE) - A Daviess County man is now in custody, accused of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material. According to Kentucky State Police, 63-year-old Homer Ray Stites was arrested after a search of his home in Maceo on Wednesday. Stites is charged with 20 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and 20 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance. Both are Class D felonies.

(WFIE) - The airport director at Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport was arrested Thursday, accused of impersonating a law enforcement officer. According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a disturbance at the home of Robert Barnett Jr. on Friday, January 22. Deputies say when they arrived, Barnett identified himself as a law enforcement officer and showed a badge.
