Authorities are investigating the death of a 20-year-old York County woman found in Hampton who had been missing for almost a week.
Reggie Williams, spokesman for the HPD said on Tuesday officers pronounced Turner dead when they arrived. Her body was not found in the water but rather on the roadway towards the end of a dead end street.

The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving COVID-19 cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 570,982 total cases, 450,388 of which are confirmed and 120,594 are probable. There are 7,963 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 6,848 being confirmed and 1,115 being probable. The case numbers are up by 2,036, and deaths are up by 156 since Wednesday.
A total of 5,830,467 COVID-19 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia.
