Both the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have been selected to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Team, the men for the 13th time and the women for the 16th straight semester. The Storm women boasted a 3.24 GPA as a team during the fall 2020 semester, with the men having a 3.58 GPA, and both are among 450 programs nationwide that received the academic honor. Simpson hosts the College of Saint Mary and Nebraska Wesleyan for its only home event of the season today at 6 p.m. from inside the Indianola YMCA.
Both the Lenoir-Rhyne University Men’s and Women’s Swimming Teams earned CSCAA Scholar All-American Team honors for the Fall Semester of 2020. CSCAA is the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
To earn the honor, the teams were required to post a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the Fall Semester. More than 450 institutions were named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches association of America’ Scholar All-America team for grades posted for the Fall 2020 semester.
The women’s team had the second highest GPA in all of NCAA Division II at 3.78, slightly behind West Florida’s 3.81 team GPA. The men’s team finished with a 3.40 team GPA in the fall.
