Sheeran faces stiff competition if he has his sights set on the Christmas number one spot.
LadBaby is currently tipped for the UK’s official Christmas number one with Don’t Stop Me Eatin’, according to The Official Charts Company.
The occupant of the number one slot will be revealed on BBC Radio One on Christmas Day but preliminary sales and early streaming reports put LadBaby in front.
LadBaby – YouTuber Mark Hoyle, and his wife Roxanne Hoyle – have topped the charts for the last two years at Christmas, with 2018’s We Built This City… On Sausage Rolls and last year’s I Love Sausage Rolls.

LadBaby has teamed up with Ronan Keating in a duet version of the band’s parody of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believin’. Real name Mark Hoyle took his wife Roxanne to a recording studio where she was surprised by Ronan Keating. A life-long Boyzone fan, LadBabyMum was able to record Don’t Stop Me Eatin’ with the star to help the original charity track take Christmas No 1, which would be a hat-trick for LadBaby.

ED Sheeran s new single Afterglow is on course to knock Ladbaby off the top spot for Christmas number one.
The singer, 29, who took a break from singing around a year ago, took to Instagram today to share the new song with his 31.7 million followers.
