After a quarter century of life away from Maine, I have noticed some changes that perhaps others have observed. The bitter winters seem to have lost their bite but there is no doubt of a new bitterness in the air. It appears the only way you are to find Unity in Maine, it’s not far from Freedom and Liberty but much closer to Albion.
I do recall the divisions of cross-town sports rivalries but do not recall a disdain of fellow citizens for their political views! Maine has always been a microcosm of or nation; and now the Divided States of America are on full display in the Pine Tree State.

Significant growth is tipped for Western Sydney, driven by low interest rates, new infrastructure and confident consumers, a real estate expert has said.
The mid-February vaccine roll-out announcement has delivered a much-needed confidence boost to Western Sydney’s property market, boosting values by an average of 10 per cent, Raine & Horne’s Peter Ly said.
In fact, open homes are generating an increasing number of interest, with 20 prospective buyers said to have visited each inspection since February. In Liverpool alone properties are receiving up to 400 bids from competing buyers.
The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) has announced the appointment of Bain Wilson as livestock evaluation specialist.
Wilson will join the CFAES Department of Animal Sciences, effective August 2021, as assistant professor, professional practice. He will lead the Ohio State Livestock Judging Team, teach the department’s livestock evaluation course, and begin connecting with Ohio 4-H livestock evaluation teams across the state.
“We are excited for Dr. Wilson to join the faculty and to lead the livestock evaluation courses and team. His arrival is part of a larger plan of pursuing excellence for our judging team,” said John Foltz, chair of the Department of Animal Sciences.
