Country’s first woman civil engineer Khaleda Shahriar dies
Khaleda Shahriar Kabir Dora, the first woman civil engineer of the country, passed away in the capital early hours of Wednesday.
She breathed her last at her residence around 4:45am.
Retired Engineers Association (REA) of Bangladesh confirmed the news in a press release.
In 1968, Khaleda Shahriar Kabir completed BSC in civil engineering from East Pakistan University of Engineering and Technology (EPUET).
Dora Rahman joined the Water Development Board in 1970 as an Assistant Engineer and retired in 2004 as Additional Director General. 2021-01-20
