Picture: Purbeck Police AN INJURED sheep is the latest victim of livestock worrying and attacks by dogs. Police have urged dog owners to keep their pets under control and released a picture of a sheep covered in blood. Last year Dorset Police received 36 reported incidents and said most owners were shocked and said their dogs had never done anything like that before. A spokesman for the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team said: This is 36 times dog owners have failed to have their dogs under their close control near livestock and did not consider what their dogs may do.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward about the theft that took place between 2pm on Monday, March 1 and 10.30am on the Tuesday, March 2. The tractor is a red Massey Ferguson 390T with the registration L260 BOD. It is fitted with a black Quicke Loader, which itself is fitted with a 6FT grain bucket. On the rear of the tractor is a ton weight block which was attached using an A frame.
