A driver and his passenger were taken to the hospital after a single-car rollover crash on Douglas Road. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
A 9-year-old boy was able to get the younger children out safely and flagged someone down outside until fire crews arrived. The children were left unsupervised.
VProject V Days raising awareness, making vaccination convenient

Vaccination is a prime way to help reduce the severity of the COVID-19 virus. The vaccination process has gotten an upgrade with the VProject s V Days.
Starting May 10 – 16, VProject volunteers will be out in the community to help raise awareness during “V Days.” The VProject’s goal is to help vaccinate 70% of Toledo and northwest Ohio and be a model for other cities.

TOLEDO, Ohio There s a new push to get more people in the community vaccinated.
The Vaccine Fire Truck is a partnership with Toledo Fire & Rescue Department, The V Project and the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, which was announced late April.
It works to bring the COVID-19 shot right to the community in a TFRD mobile unit stocked with Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

TOLEDO, Ohio The city of Toledo, the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department and the V-Project are partnering to bring the COVID-19 vaccination to under-served and under-vaccinated parts of the city.
The Toledo Fire & Rescue Department and health department will be staffing a mobile vaccination unit to provide easier access to the vaccine to all members of our community.
The vaccination sites will be administering the one-time Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which doesn t require the need for a second dose.
