A sophomore at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, Maggie was hailed as the queen of jumps by her track and field coach Tim Bamforth for her recent wins in long- and high-jump events. She also participated in Engineering Pathway in hopes of pursuing that career path.
She was a competitive cheerleading enthusiast with Shore Pride All Stars in Millsboro, and previously with CC Champs of Waldwick. Maggie was one of the nicest and sweetest girls I have ever met and had the honor to coach, said CC Champs owner Meigan Bronstein. She was a natural-born leader, hardworking, and a dedicated athlete. Maggie had a beautiful soul and will be missed by everyone lucky enough to have known her.
His send-off last year was muted, by firefighter standards.
