Belarus, Uzbekistan to launch new joint education programs

MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – Belarusian State University (BSU) plans to launch more education programs with Uzbekistan. This matter was discussed during the visit of the BSU delegation led by Rector Andrei Korol to the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, BelTA learned from the press service of the university.
“A meeting was held with Rector Gulchekhra Rikhsieva to discuss cooperation prospects. A joint program in Oriental (Chinese) philology has been running since 2019. Currently, nine Uzbek students are taking part in this program,” the BSU said.
The parties discussed in detail promising education programs. They noted that the demand for specialists with IT skills is pretty big. The Uzbek counterparts were interested in the BSU expertise in training IT specialists, as well as in the development of interdisciplinary specialties.
