WEATHERSFIELD A township police officer, who also trains police dogs, has been placed on unpaid administrative leave after being charged with a misdemeanor count of falsification. David Blosser III, 50, 3069 Durst Clagg Road NE, Bazetta, was indicted Wednesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. The charge is not related to his duties as a police officer, according to a written statement from Weathersfield police Chief Michael Naples Jr. No information on the charge was given. Blosser is to be arraigned April 8 before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Ronald Rice. Blosser intends to plead not guilty, Naples said. According to newspaper archives, Blosser was hired full-time by Weathersfield in December 2014, but worked part time for Weathersfield and Fowler before being hired full time. He was the police dog handler for both townships.

Demolition in Niles delayed | News, Sports, Jobs

nhawthorne@tribtoday.com NILES A house demolition slated for next week has been delayed following a request for an injunction filed by the property owner. Marie Seifer, the owner of 21 Russell Ave., filed the action on Jan. 14, and Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Ronald J. Rice has been assigned the case. The house was one of the scheduled demolitions through the Niles Citywide Demolition Program. The program was created as part of an initiative to remove blight from the city. Mayor Steve Mientkiewicz said the house has been an issue for a couple of years and there was an order to comply to city code.
