Devon and Cornwall Police have released video footage of a 120mph pursuit in Cornwall. It follows the sentencing of Thomas Lovett, 38, of Penzance, who was charged with dangerous driving, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and driving without insurance on February 23, 2020. Officers had attempted to pull over a red Mazda car driven by Lovett in Camborne when it sped up and led them on a 10-mile pursuit. The vehicle travelled at speeds of up to 120mph and also veered on to the wrong side of the road to overtake other cars. Police were forced to deploy a stinger device which popped the Mazda’s tyres and the car eventually pulled in.
