Crash remains under investigation Updated: 10:19 PM CDT May 4, 2021 KMBC 9 News Staff Kansas City police are investigating a head-on collision Tuesday evening that seriously injured two people.Police said officers were called about 7 p.m. to 73rd Street and Troost Avenue after a Dodge sedan and BMW crashed just south of the intersection.Authorities said the 36-year-old man driving the Dodge went to a hospital and was in critical condition.A 51-year-old Raymore woman driving the BMW was reported to be in serious, but stable condition.Accident investigators said there evidence indicating that the driver of Dodge had crossed the center line.The crash remains under investigation.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â A crossover, head-on crash critically injured one man Tuesday night in Kansas City, Missouri.
Police said the 36-year-old Kansas City, Missouri, man was driving north on Troost Avenue when he crossed the center line.
The man s car collided head-on with a BMW sedan as it traveled south on Troost Avenue near East 73rd Street, police said.
The 51-year-old Raymore, Missouri, woman driving the BMW was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â The family of KaShawn Haskell is asking the public to provide answers to the unsolved homicide one year after the woman s death.
The 24-year-old was shot and killed in the 8200 Block of Troost Avenue on April 29, 2020. It s been a year and I don t think I ve still got used to the fact that she ain t here, said Kristina Colum, Haskell s mother. She was somebody I talked to every day. We had a real close relationship.
