including Mirza Fakhrul Islam, do not want to see the changes of fate
of people that have happened in the last decade.
âActually, they (BNP) are always confused and try to create
confusion among the people. I would like to urge the BNP leaders to
look into the statistics on the development of IMF and Asian
Development Bank,â he told a meeting at the auditorium of Tathyo
Bhaban in cityâs Kakrail area.

DHAKA, Dec 16, 2020 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today said the pledge of the Day of Victory is to eliminate the anti-liberation forces.
“Bangladesh is moving ahead indomitably to materialize the dream of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman under the leadership of his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.
He said Bangabandhu could not materialize his dream as he was assassinated only after three and a half years of independence, now the country is moving forward under the leadership of his worthy daughter.
The minister made the comments after paying rich tribute at the portrait of Bangabandhu by placing wreaths at Dhanmondi 32 No. in the city marking the Victory Day.

spirit of the War of Liberation, saying people of all religious faiths
will live in the country with equal right.
“All people in combine have made the country independent in
exchange of their blood . . . Freedom of practicing religious ritual
of each faith will be remained as we believe in this spirit and Islam
also teaches us that lesson,” she said.

DHAKA, Dec 16, 2020 (BSS) – The country today celebrated the 50th Victory Day recalling moments that had marked emergence of Dhaka as the free capital of independent Bangladesh with occupation Pakistani troops’ unconditional surrender.
The ceremonial 31 gun salutes heralded the day as troops fired artillery shots from the National Parade Square while President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid rich tributes to Liberation War Martyrs.
Military secretaries to the President and the Premier placed wreaths on their behalf at the National Memorial at suburban Savar in the early morning ceremony while the COVID 19 prevented their physical presence at the scene.
