SVGCC launches “Wellness is Wealth” initiative
The St. Vincent & the Grenadines Community (SVGCC) has embarked on a month-long wellness initiative.
The initiative, dubbed Wellness Is Wealth”, encourages Vincentians to be mindful of their physical, emotional and mental state by actively seeking wellness enrichment experiences.
As part of the initiative, the SVGCC will host a series of free Zoom fitness sessions on March 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, 2021.

“Plowy McPlowface” is a totally acceptable suggestion for the Name an Avon Snowplow campaign, but town officials want to keep it local and hope the names will reflect the community s enjoyment and pride in winter (and all the snowy seasons) in its unique mountain town. (Special to the Daily)
The town of Avon recently launched its Name an Avon Snowplow campaign asking locals to enter fun and meaningful names to be officially bestowed on the exterior of three of the town’s snowplows.
According to the project, “Plowy McPlowface” is a totally acceptable suggestion, but special consideration will be given to name suggestions with local flair.
ASHEBORO - In mid-March, the North Carolina Zoo is releasing a fun, new way of getting around the zoo called Rydables, which are electric scooters with stuffed animal exteriors shaped like jaguars, tigers, and more.
Rydables will cost $20 per hour and $3.25 for every additional ten minutes. The payment system is entirely digital and contactless to encourage social distancing. The new Rydables can fit one adult and one child, and each unit is geofenced to prevent Rydables from going out of bounds. Rydables are also outfitted for people with disabilities and are ADA-compliant.
This new feature will be released in hopes of earning the zoo more revenue amidst its worst year on record, where attendance for the fiscal year dipped to 350,039, creating a $4.5 million deficit.
