AJK polls campaign reduced to smearing

ISLAMABAD: Politicking ahead of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections has reached its peak with top leaders of different parties issuing fiery statements to garner support of voters.
The PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Wednesday slammed PMLN, and said the people who earlier believed in the politics of do or die have now shifted to the politics of begging .
Bilawal, addressing an election rally in Azad Jammu and Kashmir s Poonch area, claimed his political opponents say that if they have to beg to become the prime minister, they will do it. The PPP chairman said if the opposition decides to move a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan or Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar his party would support them.

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday unveiled the plaque to launch work on two-lane Lodhran-Multan road, a 62-kilometer north-bound section of N-5 that will connect three districts, including Bahawalpur.
The project will complete in two years costing around Rs 6.8 billion. Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Communications Murad Saeed, Special Assistant Malik Amir Dogar and parliamentarians from South Punjab attended the event.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ministry for Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication has launched two major Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects to empower the communities of Asia’s Switzerland Swat.
The first project worth approximately Rs 781 million was awarded through Universal Service Fund (USF) to Telenor for providing High-Speed Mobile Broadband Services in un-served and under-served areas of Swat district while the second project has been launched through the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) to build a 22,000 square feet Software Technology Park (STP) in Mingora.
