The Stay Puft Marshmallow man is a fixture in the
Ghostbusters fandom that has always been something fun for everyone. In the original film, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man terrorizes New York City when Ray (Dan Aykroyd) accidentally decides that’s the form Gozer the Destructor will take on, and since has become what many think back to when they think of
Ghostbusters.
So, in the new clip for
Ghostbusters: Afterlife, it was nice to see the tiny little Stay Puft Marshmallow Man gets his time once again well, Stay Puft Marshmallow men? There’s a bunch of little marshmallows that come to life while Paul Rudd is just trying to buy some ice cream. Honestly, relatable.
Paul Rudd meets Mini Marshmallow Men in first Ghostbusters: Afterlife clip

The first clip from
GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE has arrived and it features Paul Rudd meeting a gaggle of mini Stay-Puft Marshmallow Men in the supermarket. The image is a bit of a throwback from the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man from the original
Ghostbustersso it seems to stay in line with the notion that the film will take the series a bit back to its roots.
In the clip, Paul Rudd s character, a teacher named Mr. Grooberson, is browsing a grocery store when he suddenly hears someone cry out. Music that is reminiscent of Elmer Bernstein s score from the original film can be heard before a group of baby Stay-Puft Marshmallow Men show up and start making cute sounds before turning themselves into s mores. Including them is a bit of a fan service moment but we all know that nostalgia and throwbacks play well with the moviegoing audience.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife Fans Freaking Out Over Mini-Puft Men
Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The last time the franchise hit the big screen was with the awful
Ghostbusters (2016), but the current tactic is to simply pretend that mess didn’t happen and carry on the story of the original two flicks
. As such, the movie has leaned hard on old imagery in its marketing, with the (slightly rusty) Ecto-1 in pride of place.
We know that most of the original cast are returning (Harold Ramis will be missed, though) as well, and today we got confirmation that a certain sugary sweet monster is making a comeback. I’m talking the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, last seen terrorizing New York and threatening to bring about the end of the world in the mid-80s. Fortunately, it seems like the Stay-Puft company have survived their mascot almost ushering in the apocalypse, as a new version of it appears in a clip released today.
