MOULTRIE, Ga. — Colquitt County has been awarded federal funds through the Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.

ELKINS Randolph County has received nearly $14,000 in federal funds for emergency food and shelter .
Several local counties have been awarded Phase 38 Emergency Food and Shelter funding through the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, through the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.
Randolph County has been awarded $13,879. Tucker County has been awarded $2,000.
Agencies interested in applying should visit the United Way website at http://go.uwmtc.org/efsp. All applications are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3. Agencies do not have to be a United Way agency to apply.
Other counties chosen to receive funding to supplement emergency food and shelter programs through Phase 38 of the program are Marion County, awarded $26,356, and Taylor County, awarded $7,068.

GALION Crawford County has been awarded federal funds made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.
Crawford County has been chosen to receive $21,463 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county, according to a press release issued by Tammy Crabtree, Crawford County Center Director for Ohio Heartland Community Action.
According to the press release, the selection was made by a national board that is chaired by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency and consists of representatives from American Red Cross; Catholic Charities, USA; National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA; The Jewish Federations of North America; The Salvation Army; and United Way Worldwide.
