May 12, 2021 – Denton County Public Health’s (DCPH) Vaccine Interest Portal waitlist is now updated to allow all individuals ages twelve and above to sign up for a COVID-19 vaccine at DCPH’s COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics. Appointments will be available for self-scheduling of individuals 12 and older first on the DCPH waitlist on Friday at Texas Motor Speedway. Additional appointment times and locations will be added in the following days.

Denton County cancels Thursday’s vaccination clinic at Texas Motor Speedway due to weather
With the National Weather Service predicting the chance of freezing rain and sleet, organizers are rerouting the appointments to Friday.

Thursday afternoon’s vaccine mega hub at Texas Motor Speedway has been canceled due to the likelihood of inclement weather, Texas Motor Speedway officials said Tuesday.
Denton County and TMS have been in contact with the National Weather Service since Monday. With a forecast predicting freezing temperatures and a chance of freezing rain and sleet in the early-morning hours, organizers made the decision to postpone.
