The total number of doses received in Romania, as of February 16, is 1,560,509, of which 1,151,112 doses were administered. The existing stock today, February 16, is 262,876 doses at the level of regional storage centers, Gheorghita told a news conference at Victoria Palace of Government. According to the head of CNCAV, until Tuesday Romania received 1,308,509 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, of which 1,083,383 were administered and 150,336 are in stock, 78,000 doses of Moderna vaccine - of which 60,917 administered and 630 in stock.

COVID-19: Nigeria to vaccinate 109 million citizens in two years

The Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Faisal Shuaib, while speaking at Monday’s weekly briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, said only those eligible will be vaccinated. He said the federal government plans to vaccinate all eligible population from 18 years and above, including pregnant women. He, however, said the decision to vaccinate any pregnant woman will be made in consultation with her healthcare provider. He said there will be considerations of whether she is at high risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus or not, based on guidance from the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE).

Sursa foto: The Straits Time Romania s National COVID-19 Vaccination Coordination Committee (CNCAV) has reported that in the last 24 hours, 40,812 doses of vaccine were administered nationwide, of which 36,763 doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 4,049 doses of the Moderna vaccine, according to data provided on Tuesday by the National Public Health Institute (INSP) on the National Electronic Register of Vaccinations application. Of these, 457 people received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, and 36,303 the second one as well, while 4,049 people were immunised with their first dose of the Moderna vaccine. To date, according to CNCAV, 926,519 doses of the Pfizer vaccine have been administered (as of December 27, 2020) and 44,448 doses of the Moderna vaccine, which started being administered on February 4, 2021, which gives a total of 970,967 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
