Saratoga Race Course Delivers Today was my first day back at Saratoga Race Course since Labor Day of 2019, the final day of the meet. I remember being there with my cousin, who lives in Cape Cod, MA. Eddie likes the horses and like many, he thinks Saratoga is a special track. That s why he makes an annual pilgrimage every Labor Day weekend. Like many, he s done it for decades. This afternoon as I passed through the thousands of fans that came out to enjoy the first Friday of racing season in the Spa City, many come year after year. The UAlbany Alumni Association held their annual outing. Hundreds were adorned in purple and gold ready to make their bets and enjoy the spectacular weather. Sunshine and an amazing card of top horse racing was highlighted by the 9th race, the Forbidden Apple Stakes.
