Drugs, weapons seized in TPS raid SHARE ON:
More illegal drugs – including fentanyl – are being kept off the streets of Timmins.
Police officers swooped down on a home on Birch St. South this morning, armed with a search warrant. They seized a total of $15,150 in illegal drugs, ranging from fentanyl to cocaine and crystal meth, as well as several weapons and $445.00 cash.
Items seized by police:
– 11.2 grams of Fentanyl (“purp”) with an estimated street value of $6,720
– 1.3 grams of Fentanyl (“blue”) with an estimated street value of $780
– 9 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $900
– 3.8 grams of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $380

Two individuals were arrested for drug and weapons charges after police in Cochrane made a routine traffic stop Thursday.
On Dec. 10, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers from the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a traffic stop on Eighth Street in the Town of Cochrane which resulted in the seizure of a weapon and of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine.
