Four Naxals arrested in Chhattisgarh s Dantewada district
Security forces apprehended four Naxals, one of them carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, from two places in Chhattisgarh s Dantewada district on Sunday, police said.
While three of them were apprehended from a forest between Etepal and Jiakodta villages under Kuakonda police station limits, a Maoist commander was held near Medpal village under Aranpur police station area, they said. Separate teams of District Reserve Guard (DRG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and District Force were involved in these actions, Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava.
Those held in Kuakonda operation were identified as Baman Sodhi (22), Hidma Sodhi (22) and Hidma Madvi (20), all lower-rung cadres, he said.

Three Naxals, one of them allegedly involved in deadly attacks on security forces and carrying reward of ₹3 lakh on his head, have surrendered in Chhattisgarh s Dantewada district, an official said on February 28.
The cadres, including a woman, turned themselves in before police and CRPF officials on Saturday evening, Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava said.
The official said the rebels were impressed by the police s rehabilitation drive Lon Varratu , and disappointed with the hollow Maoist ideology.
Of them, Suresh Kadti (35), who was active as section commander in platoon number 11 of Maoists, was allegedly involved several Naxal incidents.

The official said the cadres expressed disappointment with the "hollow" Maoist ideology. They were also impressed by the district police s Lon Varratu (return to your home/village) rehabilitation campaign, prompting them to quit the violence, he said.

Joint team of the District Reserve Guard and Chhattisgarh Armed Force led operation in Dantewada district A Naxal carrying a reward of ₹5 lakh on his head was killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh s Dantewada district on Wednesday, a police official said.
The rebel was wanted in connection with several Naxal incidents, Dantewada s Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava said.
The gunfight took place in a forest between Chikpal and Marjum villages early morning when a joint team of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) was out on an anti-Naxal operation, he said.
