Preempting Regulation, EU Operators Strike Green Data Center Pact

Preempting Regulation, EU Operators Strike Green Data Center Pact Facing a threat of new sustainability laws, Europe’s largest data center operators draft a plan for “self-regulation.” A group of Europe’s largest data center operators has created and signed a green data center pact, committing to self-regulation before European Union officials pass data center sustainability laws – an unwelcome possibility that’s been looming over the bloc’s industry for more than a year. The Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact, announced Thursday, outlines data center efficiency and renewable energy goals and sets aggressive targets for reaching them. It establishes a framework for tracking progress toward those goals.

Data Center Operators Look to Cooling Strategies for Greater Efficiency

Data Center Operators Look to Cooling Strategies for Greater Efficiency Liquid cooling – immersion cooling is a relatively new cooling technique that submerges computer equipment in a non-conductive fluid. (Photo: Summer; Servers immersed in dielectric fluid in a Submer SmartPodX immersion cooling enclosure.) . wraps up with a deep dive into different data center cooling strategies, as well as tips on how to navigate balancing power efficiency and water usage a process that is unique to each data center and is affected by continual technology change.  Get the full report. Seeking a Balance The best data center cooling strategy is to seek a balance. Since 2006, Green Grid’s Power Usage Efficiency (PUE) rating has been used as the gold standard for data center efficiency. PUE is calculated by dividing the amount of power entering a facility by the amount used to support the IT load, with the goal being to get as close to a 1:1 ratio as possible.

GMO ITS ORIGIN AS A TOOL OF NEO-COLONIALISM & SIKH RESISTANCE FROM INDIAN SUB-CONTINENT

January 12, 2021 | Instead of considering this text as an opinion article, research paper or report, it is my humble request to consider this as either a conversation or an open letter that may serve as a mode of awareness about an impeding existential threat to the people of the Indian sub-continent in general and freedom of humanity as we currently know. In present times we are staring at a grim future which will be nothing in terms of social or economic order like the one we inherited from our ancestors’. In the words of British political thinker George Orwell, the really freighting thing about totalitarianism is not only it commits atrocities but also attacks the ‘objective truth’. This we can further interpret that man is meant to be free & independent in all aspects of life be it social, political, spiritual and financial (economic). We are entering a world order where human dignity and freedom will be bootfaced by the dedicated group of elites be it from pol
