It’s fair to say public reaction to the eagerly awaited statue of Princess Diana has been mixed.  After being commissioned four years ago by her sons, princes William and Harry, the statue of remembrance of the late Princess of Wales surrounded by three children was unveiled by the brothers yesterday.   “Today, on what would have been our mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better,” William and Harry said in a statement. “It has been more than 20 years since our mother’s death and the time is right to recognise her positive impact in the UK and around the world with a permanent statue.”
