The Ministry of Health is
actively monitoring the situation in Melbourne and remains
in close contact with Australian health
agencies.
Confirmation of four linked cases of
COVID-19 in Melbourne’s northern suburbs was announced
today by Victorian Health.
The Ministry is not
recommending a pause on the Quarantine Free Travel
arrangements with Victoria at this stage.
However,
there will be testing and isolation requirements on people
who have been in locations of interest in Melbourne,
including those who have travelled back to New Zealand in
recent days.
The Ministry’s current assessment is
that the public health risk is appropriately managed through

There are no new cases of COVID-19 to report in the
community in New Zealand today.
There is one new case
to report in a recent returnee in our managed isolation
facilities, since the Ministry’s last update
Friday.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases
detected at the border is one.
No previously reported
cases have recovered. The total number of active cases in
New Zealand today is 19.
Our total number of confirmed
cases is 2,290.
Since 1 January 2021, there have been
60 historical cases, out of a total of 474 cases.
