Chennai, May 14 : The Tamil Nadu government on Friday transferred 15 IPS officers. This is the third time in a week the government has enforced the transfer of IPS officers after the DMK government assumed office on May 7.
DGP Pratheep V Philip is transferred and posted as the Director of Tamil Nadu police academy while ADGP, Jayanth Murali is posted as head of the armed police unit in Chennai.
Former Chennai City police commissioner Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal has been posted as the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Crime in Chennai. ADGP Abash Kumar will head the economics offences wing of the CID, while Inspector General of Police (IGP), R. Dhinakaran has been posted as the IGP of the Economic offences wing of the CID unit.

Capping her legal battle, transgender K. Prithika Yashini, along with 21 other members of the community, received appointment orders as Sub-Inspectors of police in February, 2016. Yashini, hailing from Chennai, and 21 other transgenders received the appointment orders from Chennai City Police Commissioner Smith Saran after undergoing a medical check-up.
Yashini told PTI that her ambition was to become an IPS officer. She said she would help transgenders like her get education and employment. She added,
I will take action against those involved in child abuse and sexual harassment.
This bunch from the community underwent training after being appointed, and recently passed out of the Tamil Nadu Police Academy. Making history, 25-year-old Yashini is soon going to join the force as a Sub-Inspector, which makes her the first ever transsexual to be selected for the position.

AAA The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has postponed the certificate verification, physical measurement test, endurance test and physical efficiency test for common recruitment to the posts of Grade-II police constable, Grade-II jail warder and firemen for 2020.
These tests, which were to start on April 21, have been postponed for administrative reasons. The date will be announced later, said the Director-General of Police/Chairman of the TNUSRB in a note.

Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has issued the notification for release of the final result on its website for the post of Sub Inspector. All those who appeared in the exam can now download their marks through the official website of TNUSRB .i.e. tnusrbonline.org.
The board had conducted the interview round from 23 February to 2 March 2021 at various exam centres. Now, the final list of the selected candidates has been uploaded at TNUSRB Website. The provisional list is available in the form of a PDF.
