The Tamil Nadu government on Friday transferred 13 IAS officers and transferred them to new posts.
A G.O. issued by Chief Secretary V. Irai Anbu posted Neeraj Mittal as Secretary of the Information Technology Department and R. Anandakumar as Commissioner, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection.
N. Subbaiyan has been posted as Director, Disaster Management, and Jayashree Muralidharan has been posted as Special Secretary to the Government, Industries Department.
While J. Kumaragurubaran has been posted as Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, K. Nanthakumar was posted as Commissioner, School Education.
Coimbatore: A city-based safety products manufacturer has signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation to train faculty and staff of educational institutions across the state to help them prepare for reopening later this year.
MY, the city-based safety products manufacturer, has formed Apex Skill Development Centre for Healthcare (ASDCH) in partnership with Kauvery Hospital for the purpose.
It will be an online module that will be provided in multiple languages helping teachers, staff and parents understand protocols to be followed in the new normal.
“This training will cover the safety aspects for all the institutions and will provide a comprehensive plan for staff on how to follow certain protocols as a part of the daily routine. The training will focus on first responder, first aid & basic life support for all the staff members,” managing director of MY Sanju Thomas Abraham said in a statement. tnn

The District Employment and Career Guidance Centre will conduct a mega job fair at Gobi Arts and Science College on February 6 in which over 200 leading private companies will participate to fill over 10,000 vacancies.
A release from Collector C. Kathiravan said the companies would be recruiting candidates for various posts and interested persons should register at www.tnprivatejobs.tn.gov.in. He said registration with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, registration for getting jobs in foreign countries, counselling for entrepreneurs who wished to start their own units through District Industries Centre and various loans available from banks would also be done on the occasion.

Joining hands with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) and Crafts Council of India, the district administration has begun training expert weavers of the famous ‘Pathamadai mats’ in new designs and attractive products for sale through e-commerce platforms.
The objective behind the programme designed by Collector V. Vishnu is to financially uplift the target group by equipping them with skills to create products with more attractive designs and innovation to meet the standards of leading e-commerce platforms.
