Floridaâs Ashley Moody joins legal battle against federal stimulus money
This is the second lawsuit against Bidenâs administration that Moody has involved herself with recently. Last year, Moody joined 16 other Republican attorneys general who urged the U.S. Supreme Court to take up a Texas lawsuit siding with Trump over election results.

TALLAHASSEE â Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody joined a multi-state coalition challenging part of a $1.9 trillion federal relief package that prohibits states from using stimulus money for tax cuts.
Moodyâs office said in a news release Wednesday that the lawsuit, filed in U.S. district court in Alabama, contends federal treasury officials cannot force states to relinquish control of their taxing authority in return for the coronavirus-related economic aid.
