The Director General of Standard Organisation of Nigeria, (SON) Mallam Salim Farooq, on Monday commended the heavy investments of the Group Managing Director of KAM Holding Ltd, Dr. Kamoru Yusuf, in the thereby impacting positively on the lives of numerous Nigerians and expatriates.
He also lauded KAM Holding Ltd for playing pivotal roles in the Iron and Steel manufacturing business and setting the pace for others to emulate in line with the guidelines of SON as well as that of other regulatory agencies.

There is growing statistics of victims of domestic gas incidents in the country. Most of these accidents result in multiple casualties. As Nigeria races to increase penetration of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) in the country, a combination of ignorance and substandard gas cylinders have contributed to an increasing number of domestic gas-related accidents with majority recording fatalities. In 2020 alone, media reports put the number of domestic gas explosions at over 200 nationwide.

The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has raided and sealed two lubricant oil sites for adulteration of lubricant oil with base oil at Dakata Sauna Kawaji, Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State.
The sites raided and sealed by the organisation include one company which specialised in adulterating and re-branding lubricant oil into gallons, while the other adulterated lubricant oil with base oil into drums and sold to the public.
The coordinator, surveillance intelligence and monitoring unit of the SON, Sulaiman Isa, said they received instructions from their headquarters to raid the two locations and inspect the alleged claim of lubricant adulteration.
