Information Minister Gilgit Baltistan Fateh Ullah Khan says Information Department of GB is being strengthened to highlight the true potential of the region in diverse sectors.
In an exclusive interview with News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan today (Tuesday), he said it is sixth year of the establishment of independent Information Department in the region.
Fateh Ullah Khan, who also holds the portfolios of Planning and Development, said the PTI-led government is giving special attention to this important department due to strategic location of Gilgit-Baltistan. He said qualified people are being inducted into the Information Department so that it becomes vibrant in bridging the links between federation and Gilgit Baltistan.

Chairman PCRWR underlines need of building more reservoirs to overcome water scarcity

Chairman Pakistan Council of Research and Water Resources (PCRWR) Dr. Muhammad Ashraf has underlined the need of bringing improvement in water storage mechanism and building of more reservoirs to overcome issue of growing water scarcity across the country.
In an exclusive interview with the News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan today (Wednesday), he said a comprehensive strategy should be chalked out on urgent basis for water absorption and retaining mechanism to meet any drought-like situation in the future. He regretted that nearly sixty percent of water in Pakistan is lost due to improper storage systems and steps should be taken to preserve the precious commodity under well-thought-out planning.
