Emirates News Agency - Abdullah bin Zayed receives UN Special Envoy on Libya

ABU DHABI, 10th April, 2021 (WAM) H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has received Ján Kubiš, UN Special Envoy on Libya and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya. During the meeting, which was held at the ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the two sides discussed the situation in Libya and ways to support the Government of National Unity in fulfilling its mission to consolidate security and stability in Libya and prepare for Libyan.

UAE receives UN Special Envoy on Libya

WAM H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has received Ján Kubiš, UN Special Envoy on Libya and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya. During the meeting, which was held at the ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, the two sides discussed the situation in Libya and ways to support the Government of National Unity in fulfilling its mission to consolidate security and stability in Libya and prepare for Libyan elections in December 2021. His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan wished the UN Special Envoy success in his duties, pledging the UAE and its leadership s steadfast support for UN efforts to achieve stability, prosperity, sovereignty and unity in Libya.

Libya: Health Sector Bulletin (March 2021) Format SITUATION OVERVIEW • A new interim unified Government was approved by the House of Representatives (HoR). • The UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Ján Kubiš is in Tripoli to continue his engagements with the new interim Government of National Unity and various Libyan actors to fast-track the implementation of the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) Roadmap. • Professor Ali Al Zanati is the newly appointed Minister of Health of the Government of National Unity (GNU). • A re-organization of the MoH organogram is expected. • The new Minister of Health undertakes visits across the country (including east, west and south), checking health facilities (COVID and non-COVID), meeting with health personnel and patients.
