Ghana s Electoral Commission (EC) continues to manifest the lack of accountability and impunity which has engulfed every facet of the nation under President Akufo-Addo.
As sections of the citizens are in the streets across the country demanding clarity from the leadership of the commission led by Jean Mensa and Bossman Asare after their shambolic organization of the Monday, December 7, 2020 parliamentary and presidential elections, they in turn continue to threat the people with contempt refusing to render any explanation.

49,576 nurses, midwives and nurse assistants inducted
The Nursing and Midwifery Council has held a virtual induction ceremony for Nurse Assistants, Nurses and Midwives who qualified in 2019 and 2020. These practitioners sat and passed the licensing examinations that were conducted by the Council in 2019 and 2020.
This is the first time the Council had conducted the induction ceremony Online and it was streamed live via the Council s YouTube Channel and its Facebook Account.
In all, forty-nine thousand, five hundred and seventy-six (49, 576) practitioners were inducted.

The Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA) has declared that no illegitimate payments were made into private accounts of individuals in the agency.
BCDA said, contrary to insinuations, the agency only made legitimate payments to staff members aimed at carrying out official duties.
Sadiq Isa, BCDA Head of Public Affairs and Protocol made the clarification in a statement he signed.
Isa said that if there were to be anything untoward in the payments they would not be on the federal government Treasury Open Payment Platform.
He said on the specific issue of payment to staff for Duty Tour Allowance (DTA) and conferences the payments were made in 2019 and have been verified, authenticated and audited by Federal Government Agencies responsible for routine and yearly auditing at the end of the 2019 Financial Year.
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has approved stringent sanctions against candidates, supervisors, and schools involved in examination malpractice.
A statement from the acting Head of Public Affairs at the WAEC office in Yaba, Demianus Ojijeogu, noted that the approval was made at the 70th meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) of the council held from Thursday to Saturday last week in Lagos.
In the course of considering the various reported cases of malpractice and after diligent deliberations, the committee approved appropriate sanctions in all established cases of malpractice, as prescribed by the Rules and Regulations governing the conduct of WAEC examinations.
