In a big development, Delhi is preparing for unlocking amid a sharp decrease in the COVID-19 cases. As per some reports, a decision can be taken on relaxing the lockdown and opening the markets in the next meeting of the DDMA to be held in the capital this weekend.
After nearly two months, the Unlock process started with the Delhi government reopening the factories and resuming construction activities.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra hit out at CM Arvind Kejriwal over "unaccounted" deaths, citing a media report that municipal corporations in Delhi had issued 34,750 death certificates for April and May while the official Covid tally for the period was 13,201.
Delhi recorded 487 fresh cases of coronavirus today, lowest since March 16. The positivity rate, number of positive cases identified per 100, stood at 0.61 per cent. 45 patients died due to the disease in the last 24 hours in the capital.
