Delhi records 1,550 Covid cases, 207 deaths; positivity rate 2 52 per cent

This is the lowest number of daily cases recorded since March 27 (1,558 cases) and the count has gone below the 2,000-mark for the second consecutive day. The positivity rate in the national capital stands at 2.52 per cent. According to the latest health bulletin, the 207 new fatalities pushed the death toll to 23,409.

Photo: Twitter A total of 5,424 cases of mucormycosis, commonly known as ‘black fungus’, have been reported from 18 states, said Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan today during a virtual meeting with a group of ministers on the COVID19 pandemic. “Of the 5,424 cases of Mucormycosis, we have seen that 4,556 cases have a history of COVID19 infection, while 875 cases are amongst non-COVID patients. Diabetes was present in 55 per cent of the patients,” he said.
