The
Haryana government had on Thursday announced several restrictions to control the spread, including the closure of shops by 6 pm and a ban on all non-essential gatherings.
The restrictions came into effect from Friday. All shops will remain closed from 6 pm onward in Haryana from Friday, all non-essential gatherings are banned, anybody holding any function within the prescribed limit will have to seek permission from concerned SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate), state’s Home and Health Minister Anil Vij had informed through a tweet.
The state government had recently capped the number of attendees in indoor events to 50 and that for open spaces to 200. The Haryana government had recently imposed a coronavirus-induced night curfew from 10 pm to 5 in the state after a surge in the cases.

CHANDIGARH: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will set up two dedicated COVID-19 hospitals of 500 beds each in Panipat and Hisar, Haryana s Home and Health Minister Anil Vij said on Wednesday.
The Army s Western Command has been asked to provide doctors and other medical staff for the facilities, he said. DRDO will set up two Dedicated Covid Hospitals in Haryana of 500 beds each at Panipat and Hissar, Vij tweeted.

Synopsis
The state government denied allegations by several hospitals in Delhi on Wednesday that it was not allowing vendors to supply oxygen to them. It also denied Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia s allegation that an official of the Haryana government stopped oxygen supply to Delhi from a plant in Faridabad.

Officials said that Haryana, until recently, had allocation of 118 MT daily, which had been revised, but now with increasing COVID cases in the state there was a sudden spurt in demand from the hospitals in the state.

No weekend lockdown in Haryana, says govt amid rise in Covid-19 case
Amid the rising Covid-19 cases in Haryana, the state government has clarified that there would be no weekend lockdown.
The Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department said an order being circulated in social media about the imposition of weekend lockdown from April 17 is absolutely fake. Alert: Fake message about the imposition of lockdown during the weekend in Haryana has been circulated in some social media posts. That needs to be ignored fully. The state will take criminal and punitive action against the perpetrators, the department informed in a tweet.
