Staff at a private hospital will spend the New Year in self-isolation after the maternity ward was visited by a confirmed coronavirus case. The case visited the obstetrics unit at the Kareena Private Hospital in Caringbah in Sydney s south on December 29. As a result, a hospital spokesperson said 12 people will have to undergo 14 days of self-isolation while areas of the hospital are deep cleaned. A source told Daily Mail Australia the infected person was a dentist who had been visiting his wife and newborn at the hospital.
